Description
The United States Transuranium & Uranium Registries (USTUR) is a research program that studies actinide elements deposited within the human body. USTUR receives either tissue or whole body donations from former DOE workers or contractors who have measurable, documented exposures to actinide elements. The USTUR studies the biokinetics, dosimetry, and possible biological effects of actinides in humans.
