This document is the NNI's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Research Strategy. The NNI EHS Research Strategy aims to ensure the responsible development of nanotechnology by providing guidance to the Federal agencies that produce the scientific informaiton for risk management, regulatory decision making, product use, research planning, and public outreach. It describes the NNI's EHS vision and mission, the state of the science, and the research need to achieve the vision.
